Version 1.14.0 is here! 🎉
2026-11-03
Plain Text lyrics with chords, split screen, customizable layouts and Key Bindings for keyboards, pedals and MIDI.
Lyrics
Timed or Plain Text
Until now, you could only add lyrics line by line, with each line linked to a position in the track. From now on, you can choose between two ways of adding lyrics. Open the lyrics editor and press the label at the top of the screen:
- Timed: lyrics line by line, each line linked to a position in the track.
- Plain Text: just type your lyrics as text, without timing.
Your choice is saved to your pad, so every pad can use the style that suits it best.
Autocue preview
For Timed lyrics, there is a new preview style: Autocue. It shows all lines underneath each other and lights up the line that is playing at the current position of the track. This way you can easily see the upcoming lines while you perform.
Plain Text lyrics
With Plain Text, you simply type or paste your lyrics. You can format words with bold, italic, colors and headings.
Plain Text also supports chords. Type them directly in the text, for example [Am], or use the Add Chord button to add one at your cursor. Chords are placed exactly above the right word, even when lines wrap on smaller screens. You can also set a chord color per pad.
Previewing lyrics
When you preview lyrics on fullscreen, you now have two extra options:
- Switch layouts: change directly between Single line, Multiline and Autocue.
- Font size: use the + and - buttons in the bottom right corner to make the text bigger or smaller.
Split screen
EasyPerformer now adapts to the available screen space instead of the type of device. This means the app works great in split screen on iPad and Android. Every page, from the editors to trimming, the MIDI page and all dialogs, has been made fully responsive.
Rotate your tablet
The separate portrait layout button is gone. From now on, simply rotate your tablet and the app switches to portrait automatically. We previously placed this behind a button, so you wouldn't accidentally rotate the screen during a performance. However, Apple and Android now require apps to follow the rotation of the device, so EasyPerformer does too. Tip: use the rotation lock of your device if you want to keep the screen in place while performing.
Video layout on mobile
Phones now have a video layout as well. Tap the menu button and choose Switch to Video. The pads move to the bottom of the screen, making room for the video above them.
Layout settings
The settings have a new Layout section, so you can make the app look exactly the way you prefer.
- Pad size: choose small, medium or large pads. Indicators, countdowns and overlays scale along with your pads, and you can even switch while playing.
- Buttons: show or hide most of the buttons on the main pads screen, from the media buttons at the bottom of your screen to the action buttons at the top.
Hide the buttons you don't use or need, and keep only what matters for your performance.
Key Bindings
The new Key Bindings section in the settings lets you connect regular keyboard keys to specific media actions. Many Bluetooth pedals and remotes don't send an actual media command, but a keyboard key instead, such as the spacebar or the arrow keys. From now on, you can bind those keys as well.
Your existing MIDI commands have moved to this page too, so all your bindings are together in one place. They keep working just like before.
Fixes & improvements
- Improved Apple Music import. iPad apps running on a Mac are now supported as well.
- Fixed an issue on iOS 15 to 17 where videos played without sound the first time.
- Audio now recovers automatically after interruptions such as phone calls, or when switching to headphones or AirPlay.
- Improved the reliability of saving lyrics and MIDI files.
- The app is now smaller in size.
- Various general improvements to keep everything running smoothly.
That's it!
