Importing files
Before you can assign a track to a pad, you need to import it into EasyPerformer. All your imported files are stored in the file manager, which you can reach from any pad in Edit mode. Tap Edit in the top-right corner, tap a pad, and choose Add file. If the file manager is empty, tap Import files + to get started.
There are three ways to import files.
From your device
Selecting Local storage opens the file picker of your device. From here you can browse and select any files stored locally. If you have cloud storage apps installed, such as iCloud, Dropbox or Google Drive, these are usually accessible as well. Look for a Locations section in the file picker, where you will find options like "On my iPad" alongside any connected cloud services. Simply navigate to the folder you need and select the files you want to import.
From the web
Selecting Import from Website shows a QR code in the app. Open import.easyperformer.com on your computer or another device and scan the QR code. This creates a direct connection between the website and your EasyPerformer app.
Once connected, simply drag and drop files onto the page and they will be transferred to your app straight away. If you want to place files into a specific folder, navigate to that folder inside EasyPerformer first, then drag and drop your files on the website and they will land in the right place.
When you are done, just close the website. The connection closes automatically.
From Apple Music
Selecting Import from Apple Music lets you pull tracks in from your Apple Music library. A few things to keep in mind before you try this:
- Only tracks you have purchased or added yourself to your library can be imported. Tracks you stream with an Apple Music subscription cannot be transferred.
- The Apple Music app must be installed on your device.
- You need to download the track in Apple Music first. Open Apple Music, find the track, and tap the download icon. This is usually found next to each track or via a multi-select option.
Once the track has finished downloading in Apple Music, go back to EasyPerformer and select Import from Apple Music. Your downloaded tracks should now appear. Tap the + icon to select multiple tracks, and when you are done, tap the checkmark or the done button to start the import.
