Files in Pads

How to put files into pads, insert multiple files at once, and empty pads.

Pads are the heart of EasyPerformer. Each pad can hold one file, ready to play at the tap of a button. This page explains how to assign files to pads, fill multiple pads at once, and clear them when needed.

Entering Edit mode

To make changes to a pad, you first need to enter Edit mode. You can do this in two ways:

  • Tap the Edit button in the top-right corner of the screen.
  • Or simply hold down any pad, which opens Edit mode directly for that pad.

Assigning a single file

Once in Edit mode, tap the pad you want to fill. Track Actions will appear. If the pad is empty, tap Add file. If the pad already contains a file, tap Change file to replace it.

This opens the file manager. Tap any file to place it into the pad straight away.

Inserting multiple files at once

You can fill several pads in one go without having to tap them one by one.

Enter Edit mode and tap a pad to open the file manager. Tap the options button in the top-right of the file manager and choose Select. Pick the files you want, or tap Select all files to grab everything. When you are happy with your selection, tap Insert into pads, or on mobile the square with arrow icon.

You will then be asked how to insert the files:

  • Insert: places the selected files into pads, starting from the first available empty pad.
  • Overwrite: clears all existing pads first, then fills them with the selected files from the beginning.

Choose the option that fits your situation and the files will be placed into the pads.

Emptying pads

To empty a single pad, enter Edit mode and tap the pad. Under Actions, tap Empty pad and confirm. The pad will be cleared.

To empty all pads at once, tap the Setlist button in the top of the screen, or on mobile the menu button in the top-right corner. Choose Empty all pads and confirm. All pads will be cleared.
